feature may have a problem setting and unsetting
extended highlighting.

Our CICS XZCIN Exit was erroneously detecting that a TCT entry was flagged as being a "Permanent Transaction Code" due to a change in the TCT layout with CICS TS 3.1. Since TCT's are generally auto-installed, it is highly unlikely that "Permanent Transaction Codes" are used.

This ZAP has been created to eliminate PHOENIX/PREFERENCE support of "Permanent Transaction Code" processing and their resultant anomalies. For example, users may be unable to continue in their application after returning from a help or screen capture request.

If you disable the allocation of User Key storage in CSA via "ALLOWUSERKEYCSA(NO)", then a System B78 Code X'5C' will occur.

The Code X'5C' indicates that a program attempted to obtain User Key (8-F) storage from a CSA subpool and ALLOWUSERKEYCSA(NO) was specified.

With the release of z/OS 1.9 the PCCA control block can optionally be moved about the 16 Meg line.  If you have the PCCA control block moved above the 16 Meg line, this zap must be applied for
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE to be compatible with this change.

Bypass signon processing displays 'Invalid Curriculum' message when no course name or invalid course name detected in bypass signon string. This PTF restores navigation to signon screen under these bypass conditions.

Wrong help screen may be displayed for popup help requests. Error occurs for any index term used to navigate to popup help, where other index terms share the first two characters of term used.

When writers delete or replace index terms in reference items, the replaced or deleted term may not be removed from the reader index file. This ptf corrects writer index editing.

The writer 'index' command can be used to restore and correct index as circumvention.

When writers copy or delete reference items, associated
index terms may not be removed from the reader index
or may appear out of alphabetical order in this list.
This ptf ensures that item copy and delete will remove
and sort reader index terms correctly.
 
A circumvention is to use the writer 'index' command
to restore and correct the reader index.

Supervisors may encounter GD024 SYSTEM ERROR at
$gsupr-lmscbt-1-3 or rmscbr-1-3 while navigating within
the PHOENIX Course Manager or the PREFERENCE Volume
Manager. The error may occur after accessing the
Users Inactive facility.

Group volume readers may be presented with index list
instead of an item after multiple index or hypertext
look-ups. This occurs even though a valid index term
is requested.

Group volume reader F13 Return option does not return
to previous screen after hypertext look-up. This
problem occurs after application of z791006.

Index terms may be stored out of sequence in reader
index files.

As circumvention, the 'index' command can be used
to correctly reconstruct reader index files.

When tagged F17 Capture item contains one or more
index tags ('i1'), subsequent items are imported with
all tagged components ('it', 'i1', 'h1', etc.) treated
as text.

When attempting tagged import (F17 Capture reference
material) and out of space condition occurs, writers
encounter GD001 indirect addressing error at $gs001-
nosave-1-14. Error occurs when writer exits message
to reassemble and add space.'

When readers attempt to use F13 Return in a volume
containing embedded components, navigation does not
occur and menu displays item '-1 of 32,123'.

This update corrects navigation and display of item
number when utilizing F13 Return functionality.

PHOENIX
Student exit from PHOENIX course accessed through
Pathlore LMS (PHOENIX Connector) incorrectly specifies
whether the course is 'complete' or 'in progress' and
passes the incorrect information to the LMS.

This PTF results in correct 'complete'/'in progress'
student information passed to the LMS.
